Mistakes were made but not by me

Recently finished reading “Mistakes were made but not by me” Carol Travis and Elliot Aronson. An excellent piece of work which explains how human beings are always seeking to reduce dissonance and as a result, self-justification becomes part of the human trait, which if left unchecked, can lead to people not admitting their mistake.

I think everyone in a position of power should read it. Helps us realize that the slippery slope is one that most people tend to fall into, but it is not something we cannot climb out of.
